Wild Pansies Could Drive Me Away
/0 Comments/in Photos and Images /by BethI see a flower and I easily get lost in it. Like this purple wild pansy I found in mid-May.
I was so taken by the flower that I didn’t pay attention to the fact that my pants were splitting as I squatted down to snap a picture!
This is NOT the first time this has happened!
(note to self: wear stretchy yoga pants or something like that when doing nature photography!)

Birth of the Purple Crystals Mandala
/0 Comments/in Photos and Images /by BethTo me, this one looks like purple crystals rising from the center of a plume of clear rainbow-reflecting crystals. All surrounded by an explosion of blue energy.
Some meanings associated with the color of purple:
- good judgement
- spiritual connection
- peace of mind
- magic & mystery
- imagination & inspiration
- royalty
- violet purple = purpose and the Crown Chakra
Do you recognize this image at all? I created it from a previous image….see below…

Echinacea Flower Mandala
/0 Comments/in Photos and Images /by BethView ALL of my Mandalas & Photos HERE.
I created this mandala from an original photo I took of an Echinacea Flower (see below).
The predominant color in this one is purple. I decided to look up the healing properties of “violet and purple” and here is what I found…
Purple is associated with the “crown chakra” – oneness with the infinite, peace and wisdom.
“Healing properties: These are colors of transformation. They heal melancholy, hysteria, delusions and alcohol addiction and bring spiritual insights and renewal. These colors slow down an over-active heart; stimulate the spleen and the white blood cells (immunity). Bring sleep. Soothe mental and emotional stress. Decrease sexual activity. Decrease sensitivity to pain. They help in detoxification.”

Here is the original image I started with – no tweaks besides cropping.
I took this photo in October at a public garden that I had just discovered in Hamilton Township, NJ. It was a warm, sunny day with beautiful puffy clouds in the sky. It being October, mid-week and mid-day – there were barely any other people there – always a plus for me.
A Powerful Creator
/0 Comments/in Photos and Images /by BethThis image was inspired by day 2 of the Oprah & Deepak “21 Day Meditation Experience“. Today’s focus was “I am a powerful creator”. Below you’ll find more about my inspiration for this image and you’ll find the original photo too.
You can purchase prints of this image with the words here.
If you’d like a print with no words, you’ll find that here.
Here is a bit of what I journaled after doing today’s meditation:
Today’s meditation was about being a powerful creator. And they pointed out that whatever we put out into the world is what comes back to us – karma. Up until this point, the majority of the times I had heard the word ‘karma’ used was when someone was referring to bad things. ie. “karma is a bitch”. It always focused on the negative – do bad things and it will come back to you. I never noticed an emphasis on do GOOD things and good will come back to you.
That is what today’s meditation was focused on – know that you are a powerful creator and that you can CHOOSE to have thoughts/actions that are in balance and are good. You create good, and more good flows back to you.
My interpretation of the image:
In the image there are what appear to be hearts surrounding the center. Then there are orange loops near the hearts – these circulate the love (it’s as important to love yourself as it is to love others). And the yellow rays radiating outward and the pink flowing inward – circulating the love, good – karma.
