My Feel Good Journal – Day 8
I’d rather – say no thank you to an invite – than be pissed off at myself for saying yes
Part of asking for exactly what I want (like mentioned yesterday) is also knowing exactly what I DON’T want.
I’m a recovering “people-pleaser”. I’ve had this warped view – heaven forbid I let someone down – the earth is going to swallow me whole!
The BIGGER thing here is that by ONLY focusing on “saying Yes” to others… I end up saying “No” to myself.
My best line in these situations: “Let me check my schedule and I’ll get back to you at XXX time”.
Can you relate? Let me know – leave a comment below 🙂
Here are my 4-G’s for Day 8:
What are “The 4-G’s of Feeling Good”? – find out HERE.
Goin’: Spent an hour walking today! Soc and I walked around “Turtle Cove” and I finally got a picture of ’em! And the clouds were awesome today!
Greens: Green Smoothie & stir-fry veggies at dinner 🙂 and a snack of snow peas with garlic hummus – yum 🙂 <– a good replacement for chips and dip.
Smoothie ingredients: spinach (frozen), broccoli florets, mango, blueberries (last of ’em), goji berries, chia seeds, flax seed, maca powder and plant-based protein powder.
I “was” going to try the collard greens today – but – Soc (the dog) ripped ’em to bits! Here’s Orv (Orville) observing the collard greens massacre on the left. And my stir-fry veggie dinner – little bit o’ canola oil and lots of spices (teeny bit of salt).
Givin’: Today I gave out smiles – even to the cars that seemed to want to run me off the road while I was walking…lol.
To myself: I allowed myself to be flexible with my “to-do” list today. The weather was BEAUTIFUL so I did work that I could do outside (me-laptop-and sunshine!). Tomorrow it’ll be raining and I’ll be working inside.
Gratitude:
I am grateful for the gigantic white puffy clouds floating in a blue sky that I got to enjoy today.
I am grateful for my body slimming down as I eat good, nutritious food.
I am grateful for a good hair day 😉
Making “Feeling Good” choices like these all started with doing the “4-G’s”! I’d love it if you joined me in doing the “4-G’s” – grab your free copy of my book that explains it all “Get Back on the Feel Good Train: 4 Simple Strategies for Getting You Back on Track” HERE. and there’s a printable journal sheet too!
I’d love to hear your 4-G’s…. share ’em below…
