My Feel Good Journal – Day 6
Have you been like me and always done for others first, without doing for yourself? In the past, that has lead me down a very unhappy road. We are no good to anyone else if we don’t first take care of ourselves. I call it “filling up my feel good well”.
Today I made it a point to do good things for myself before I ran around doing errands and work stuff.
Here are my 4-G’s for Day 5:

Goin’: I walked with Soc (the dog) for 20 minutes this morning.
This was one of those mornings where I could have made an excuse to skip the walk – but I didn’t. I knew it was important for filling up my “feel good well” 🙂
Greens: I had a barely green smoothie after the walk.
I ran out of fresh greens so I used some frozen spinach in my smoothie. I defrosted it a bit first. It turned out ok – I’d still rather have the fresh stuff though.
Smoothie ingredients: The frozen spinach, 1/2 banana, blueberries, 1/2 of a mango, chia seeds, flax seeds, goji berries, maca powder, plant protein powder, almond milk (unsweetened).
Givin’: I helped a friend.
For myself: I know I’m busy and I have lots to do so I’m making a point to NOT push myself. To do one thing at a time and take it easy. And most of all… to give myself the gift of filling up my “feel good well” before anything else!
Gratitude:
I am grateful for getting to share some silly moments with my Mom today.
I am grateful for seeing the tulips starting to bloom in the front yard.
I am grateful for making the choice to do for myself first.
