My Feel Good Journal – Day 4

I'd Rather Be Happy Than Perfect - Beth Sawickie www.BethSawickie.comToday was such beautiful weather that it was tempting to take off and spend the day at a park.  I got to spend a bit of time outside 🙂

Today I allowed myself to do a task without worrying about perfection.  That made it all the more enjoyable (if this task could be ‘enjoyed’)  Keep reading to find out what the task was 🙂

Here are my 4-G’s for Day 4:

What are “The 4-G’s of Feeling Good”? – find out HERE.

Goin’: I was able to find 20 minutes this morning to walk the dog.  That gave us enough time to make it to what I call “Turtle Cove” and we saw…guess what?… Turtles 🙂

Greens:  I had a green(ish) smoothie while Soc and I walked.

Smoothie ingredients:  Almost 1 head of romaine lettuce (it was large), blackberries, 1/2 banana, blueberries, chia seeds, flax seeds, goji berries, maca powder, plant protein powder, almond milk (unsweetened).

Givin’:   Today I gave a larger tip than normal – almost double.

For myself: I allowed myself to do a task without worrying about perfection.  I’m amazed at how much more enjoyable it was 🙂 I wasn’t going to tell you just “What” the task was…. it was scooping dog poop! – yep – Normally I’d obsess over getting every little bit.  It’d been several days since I went out to scoop it and there was a lot.  I just took it easy and scooped the obvious stuff.  Then went around and picked up what I missed.  It totally changed my usual attitude when doing that task.

How would’ve thought that I’d learn something from scooping dog poop !?!?

I am grateful for the beautiful weather – sunshine makes me smile 🙂

I am grateful for Doug spending time after work taking pictures for me even though I know he wanted to just chill out on the couch after a long day of work.

I am grateful for getting to chat with my best friend at lunch time.  Sometimes it’s hard to get a chance to chat because of our schedules.

Making “Feeling Good” choices like these all started with doing the “4-G’s”!

I’d love it if you joined me in doing the “4-G’s” – grab your free copy of my book that explains it all “Get Back on the Feel Good Train: 4 Simple Strategies for Getting You Back on Track” HERE. and there’s a printable journal sheet too!

I’d love to hear your 4-G’s…. share ’em below…
