My Feel Good Journal – Day 18

my feel good journal - day 18

Here are my 4-G’s for Day 18:

Today was, honestly, somewhat of a crappy day – or at least it started out like that.  Shortly after waking up I had bad cramps and a headache!  UGH!  Then I did perhaps the worst thing a work-from-home entrepreneur can do….got lost on Facebook and the interwebs for way too long.  I’ve been pondering – again – what it is I am doing with my life.  I almost posted in a few groups I’m in…but erased ’em.  My dilemma was/is…  do I keep posting this 4-G stuff on my site and focus on all this personal development/self-help/health & wellness stuff?  OR… do I perhaps return to focusing on photography, mandalas and digital art and keep all this other stuff private.  Honestly, I haven’t spent much time fiddling with photos and mandalas and I do miss it.   I got myself into such a funk going around in circles in my head I finally needed to just step away.  I finally pried myself away from the computer, showered, made a green smoothie, and went for a long walk with the dog.  Getting outside into nature helped me feel better 🙂

What are “The 4-G’s of Feeling Good”? – find out HERE.

Goin’:  Walked with Soc for about an hour.  Neighborhood then Turtle Cove.

I didn’t have my camera with me…but if I did, I could have shot…

– 3 large (dinner-plate sized) turtles sunning themselves on little tiny islands at Turtle Cove.  Normally they slide into the water when they hear me on the trail.  This time they did not – would’ve made for some awesome shots!

– 4 Canadian geese that hung out in the water about 15 feet from me and Soc.  Another surprise.  Normally, they swim away.  These swam closer to us.  I think it there might have been a nest nearby they were protecting – but it was still neat to get to see them.

– a cute white, black and dark red/brown bird. Never saw one like this before.  And like the other animals we saw today, he hung around longer than usual too.

Now I’m wondering…. were all those longer than usual encounters with wildlife a “sign” that I should be focusing more on nature photography and mandalas?  I’m still pondering.

Note to self: ALWAYS carry your camera with you!

Greens:  Green smoothie and steamed veggies with dinner.

Givin’:  I acknowledged that today was not going so well and that I NEEDED to do something good for myself.  Step away from what wasn’t working and just get out and walk in nature.

I also “clicked to give”.

I am grateful for warm weather, blue skies and sunshine.

I am grateful for getting to be in the presence of some awesome wildlife today.

I am grateful for having many passions.

Making “Feeling Good” choices like these all started with doing the “4-G’s”! I’d love it if you joined me in doing the “4-G’s” – grab your free copy of my book that explains it all “Get Back on the Feel Good Train: 4 Simple Strategies for Getting You Back on Track” HERE. and there’s a printable journal sheet too!

I’d love to hear your 4-G’s…. share ’em below…
