I love Yoga!
And, no, I don’t stand on my head or balance on one arm. I like “gentle” yoga.
A few reasons why I like yoga – especially in the mornings:
- it stretches and activates my body – removes stiffness from during the night.
- it gets the “chi” (or whatever it is?) flowing
- it quiets my mind – this can be especially helpful in the morning when my tendency is to run through my to-do list in my head.

I do very much enjoy going to my local Yoga Studio (shout-out to Yoga in the Pines!) – but they don’t always have classes going when I’m ready for them.
So, “the YouTubes” always provide me with some great Yoga sequences to do!

Gentle Morning Yoga with Adriene
30 minutes
I like that this is slow moving and gentle – that’s what I need early in the morning!
There’s nothing too funky in this one – I mean, no poses that make me fall over! But seriously, you just do what you can – it’s not supposed to hurt so don’t push it – especially first thing in the morning.
I like Adrienne’s voice and attitude. She’s calm, soothing and just a little silly…. ie. the “drunk cat cow”.
And by the way… this video would be great to do anytime of day!

15 Minute Gentle Morning Yoga with Candace
This is another nice calm yoga video for morning.
