Beach Mandala – Island Beach State Park (#1)

This is my first photo mandala.  I was inspired to do this by seeing some beautiful mandalas created from photos from some talented artists on Etsy.

I created this mandala from a photo I took at Island Beach State Park in NJ on September 9, 2012 (pre-Sandy). As of this post, Island Beach State Park is currently closed due to storm damage.  To find out if it is open before you plan a visit, check out the official state park website here.

Island Beach is right next to Seaside Park (which is next to Seaside Heights).  You can learn more about the history of the area in the Seaside Park Images of America book.
