I am often distracted by the many, many opportunities that are available to me – and I want to do them ALL! After all – these may be opportunities for growth, for wealth, for fun.
I have to remind myself that just because I “could” do something doesn’t mean that I have to. This proverb reminds me to sort through all of those opportunities and find the ones that really “capture MY heart”.

/0 Comments/in Photos and Images /by BethI was mildly obsessed with getting dragon fly pictures this past summer. There were days when they were just all over the place. I enjoyed when we’d be kayaking and they’d fly right along with us or hitch a ride for a bit.

This quote reminds me to not allow myself to be stifled by my own fears. If I believe that “it will never happen”, “something always goes wrong”…etc – then that is exactly what is going to happen.
The key here, though, is to believe that the success/goal will come. Then, prepare for it by taking actions that support it. A simple example of this is wanting to be fit and healthy. I know I did not get out of shape and a bit plumper than I’d like overnight. It is going to take time to slim down a bit. I’m not going to reach my goal if I don’t prepare for it. And I can move toward the goal by acting “as if” I am at my goal. What would people who are fit and healthy do? Choose to eat nourishing food (most of the time ;), choose to get movin’ and exercise, choose to take care of themselves. Obviously I’m not going to go run a marathon right now…but I can start out with fast paced walking every day.
